Chew Salvia Leaves

*Chewing Salvia leaves is recommended for first-time users.

1.) Prepare your mouth by brushing teeth, gums, and lining gently with toothpaste. Rinse with mouthwash and water. This removes dead cells and allows for better absorption of Salvinorin A through the lining of your mouth.

2.) Roll a ball or cylinder out of fresh or rehydrated leaves. Use 8-28 large leaves.

3.) Slowly chew the leaves while squeezing the juices out, allowing them to gather in your mouth.

4.) After 30 mintues, spit everything out.

Chewing Salvia Leaf (A Quid)

When chewing plain Salvia leaves (quid) the effects are much more mild and can last from 30-60 minutes. A quid is a rolled up cylindrical-shape group of leaves (usually 8-28 leaves) which is put between your gum and lip like chewing tobacco. Use fresh leaves if possible. If using dried leaves be sure to soak in water for 10 mintues before using.

Chew the leaves every few seconds and allow the juices to build up, but don't swallow. After 30 mintues spit everything out. This method is recommended for first-time Salvia users since it gives the basic feeling without overwhelming the user. Doses for quids are as follows:

  • Small: 10g fresh or 2g dried
  • Medium: 30g fresh or 6g dried
  • Heavy: 50g fresh or 10g dried
